What is Yoga?

Its not all about bending in pretzel shapes!

Yoga is a modern practice with ancient roots that offers you the chance to cultivate presence, authenticity, health, strength, flexibility, joy, calm and a felt sensation of belonging in this world.  Yoga allows you to more vibrantly inhabit your life.

Yoga meets you where you are.  You don't have to be young or fit to practice yoga.  If you're elderly, injured, "not flexible" or just stressed out, there's a form of Yoga that is perfect for you.  Yoga can help to heal injuries, or adjust to a new 'normal' in your physical body.  Yoga can eventually help you to touch your toes, but the most important lessons Yoga teaches do not come from pretzel positions.  Yoga teaches you to embrace this moment, in all its imperfect beauty, to fully live each breath you take and to walk in this world in a state of harmony with yourself.
